Nicole Giraldo is a multidisciplinary artist born in New York and raised in Miami, She earned her BFA and MS in Art Education from Florida International University. They work across various mediums, including oil painting, ceramics, and illustration. Giraldo’s work explores identity; often portraying these themes through their bird characters. Through observing local avian life, they examines her own personal history and cultural heritage. Her practice serves as both a reflection and a way to navigate the past and her own current perspective.
Giraldo works under the name “Pigeonomics” in the local miami zine scene where they complement their zine-making by bringing characters into three-dimensional form.
Giraldo’s work has been exhibited in a solo show with Third Space Studios (2025). As well as with group exhibitions in the Frost Art Musuem (2026)
